Currently you need to go into your items and delete an item after it has been collected. The item is then removed from the site and you will not receive any email from other members about the item.
We are in the process of adding a “saved from landfill” option so we can keep track of all the items saved. -
Add Location postcode in title
Not just in when you go to look at the item!

Add webfeeds to SnaffleUp
RSS feeds could be a great way to view new items or view your saved searches in Snaffleup

ability to see all items being donated by someone
If I'm giving an item i would like to see all the items available to me from potential recipients of my item - that way I can organise a swap if anyone has stuff I want.

Increase font size and text contrast
I'm not that old (early 30s) but I find the fonts and colours used on SnaffleUp a little hard to read.
Perhaps you could bump the font size up a bit and increase the contrast between background and foreground colours?

Alerts via Twitter
I see you're on Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/snaffleup - which is fantastic, but one day perhaps you can link user accounts to Twitter so as to Direct Message people on Twitter (and therefore via their mobile too), when there is a new item within a specified distance from them?

increase the max number of unwanted items
There SHOULD be a limit on number of WANTED items but I think the number of UNWANTED items you can list at a time should be increased or made unlimited. Isn't the whole point of snaffle up is to recycle unwanted items!

man with van for each area making snaffleup for non drivers
suggest man with van for each postcode area making it easier for non drivers to be able to ask for the bulky items. They would just pay the local company a small fee for collection.
